[MCS1]You can insert your phone and email here

[MCS2]You can insert your market stats here. I found these on Google. But I was unable to find facts or stats with regards to your particular model. You will need to research your market to find the appropriate figures

[MCS3]You will need to determine why your company is unique, special or better than the competition.  I do not have this information or insight

[MCS4]You can insert financial information here. It doesn’t need to be extensive, and especially for a startup. But it is usually good to list assets, liabilities and operating expenses.

[MCS5]You can insert your name and a short bio here. If you have other people helping you or managers you can insert his or her names here as well. The bios should be short and emphasize expertise as it relates to THIS venture.

[MCS6]You can insert your marketing strategy here. Most entrepreneurs wait until the last minute to address marketing issues and strategies. I think it’s the FIRST thing that needs to be addressed. You can work on your marketing strategy. But I wrote an example.

[MCS7]If you are seeking investors, financing or business grants you can insert your requirements here. It is best to round off amounts, and show investors or banks how and when notes will be repaid. I wrote an example.

Product Review Five Wits Doctor Sweetie Spoiler Song Wig

0 komentar
Photos by Green House Photography
The Five Wits is an online company specializing in cosplay wigs, ball-joint doll wigs and eco-geek shirts. Located in Oklahoma, The Five Wits wigs are made from heat resistant Hiperlon. Their website is very informative. The FAQ section has information listed such as wig washing, how to detangle a wig, using curlers and more. Shipping is available to Canada and any other country where it is legal to ship from the United States. Payment is accepted using paypal and money order. A large variety of wigs are available in short, ponytail, medium and long in a selection of different colors. Todays review is for the Doctor Sweetie Spoiler Song wig inspired by Doctor Who character River Song. Currently listed for $35 and measuring at 33cm long, you can view the item HERE.

Corresponding with the Five Wits representative via email was very pleasant. Their costumer service  was first class. My Doctor Sweetie Spoiler Song Wig arrived in a brown envelope. The wig was secured in a net inside a resealable plastic bag. Attached to the wig was a tag which listed helpful information on combing, washing and styling your wig. I used this wig for Professor River Song.

I fell in love with this wig the minute I tried it on. Its hard to find a good quality wig that matches actress Alex Kingstons hair. I have seen many that look too poofy and resemble more of an afro. Others use cheap fibers that give it that Barbie doll look. The Five Wits wig looks natural and is a gorgeous texture. The curls and shade of blonde are a perfect match for the Doctors Wife.  It also photographs beautifully. The Five Wits is one of the best places to order wigs from on the web. I am very impressed by how they run their business. Their website has a lot of information regarding all of their products, tips, a large stock of different items and great costumer service. I highly recommend ordering from The Five Wits website!

Product Review Costume Super Center Enchanting Princess Costume

0 komentar
The Elite Enchanting Princess Adult Costume is available on the Costume Super Center website. Currently priced at a discounted $151.99 (regularly $189.99) this costume is in the grand tradition of the classic fairy tale Cinderella.  It is available in sizes small, medium, large and extra large. The costume, which is made by InCharacter Costumes, comes with a ball gown, choker, crown, gloves, and petticoat.

The item arrived packaged in a large box. The product itself was in a large plastic bag with a hanger. Instructions are enclosed on how to insert the wire into the petticoat. I ordered my dress in a size small which fits dress sizes between 4-6. The dress is absolutely beautiful. It is blue, white and gold. The bodice has a gold trim and theres a beautiful pattern on the center of the bodice and sleeves. The sleeves also have pretty beads hanging from them. The dress is 100% polyester and must be dry cleaned. The petticoat is 70% nylon, 21% polyester. The petticoat can be washed set on cold (no bleach) and air dried.

The choker is made of black ribbon with a pearl and faux diamond gem. The white gloves are nicely made. Unfortunately because I am petite, I found them to be a bit too long, reaching all the way to my sleeve (I ended up pulling them down slightly). The crown is made of a plastic headband with gold sequins. I have to report that I do not care for the cheap quality of the crown and plan to replace it. I used a blonde wig that I all ready owned to finish that Cinderella look.

I feel that the Elite Enchanting Princess Costume would be a great addition to your costume collection. The dress is gorgeous, highly detailed and very well made. It fits perfectly and is comfortable to wear. The petticoat is also great quality. The gloves and choker are a nice touch. My only disappointment is the crown but that is easily replaceable by purchasing a better quality one at an affordable price at  Claires or Icing. Cosplay Spotlight Candy Keane

0 komentar
Shes the blonde bombshell taking the cosplay world by storm! Candy Keane is the proud owner of Three Muses Clothing which specializes in original costumes and lingerie. This stunner from Florida is a successful business woman, cosplayer, professional model and holds a degree in journalism. I met Candy at the 2010 San Diego Comic Con and have had the pleasure of working with her ever since. Candy took some time for an interview for the Confessions of a Cosplay Girl Blog. Read on to learn more about this stunner who truly is a jack of all trades.

Victoria: When did you start your business, Three Muses Inspired Clothing?

Candy: I had been doing costuming on the side for a long time, but decided to make it official and get my business license in May 2005. I originally called the company “Three Muses” after me, my mom and my grandmother, but when I went to register the business name I found there were already several companies with the same name. I tacked on “inspired clothing” to set the name apart. I didn’t use “costumes” because I didn’t want to be pigeonholed to one thing. Costumes to me are inspired clothing.

Victoria: What was the first costume you ever made?

Candy: I made costumes with my mom since I was very little, but the first one I made all on my own was Aeon Flux from MTV’s Liquid Television in 1995. Wearing that out was an amazing experience. We hit every costume contest over Halloween weekend and I won 6 in a row. That was my first hint that maybe I could do something bigger with this costuming thing.

Victoria: Youve created costumes for some famous clients and even a Hollywood film. Can you tell my readers where your work has appeared?

Candy: My work has appeared in lots of random places from magazines to TV shows. The most well-known costume that pops up the most is the “sci-fi slave girl” aka Slave Leia. People will recognize that one from the movie Fanboys, where it’s worn by Kristen Bell at the end of the movie.

Victoria: You told me a story about entering a costume contest as Slave Leia that literally brought 300 people to their feet. Tell my readers the exciting tale!

Candy: That was about 10 years ago in San Diego when I made my first Slave Leia costume. I had never seen anyone wear one ever. Now they travel in packs! I don’t think the crowd had ever seen one either. I entered the costume contest and kept my robe wrapped around me the whole time until I stepped on stage. When I got to middle, I dropped the robe and spun around. The crowd went crazy, and right there in the middle of the contest the DJ announced “I think we know who won this contest!”

Victoria: What is your favorite costume that you have created?

Candy: All my versions of Wonder Woman. She’s my favorite character to do, but I don’t like wearing the same outfit all the time. I keep making different versions of her outfits.

Victoria: You also have a successful career as a model and have been featured in magazines like FHM. How long have you been modeling and where has that lead you?

Candy: I started modeling at 20, which is pretty late to get started in modeling if you want to do fashion work. I had the height but at 5’9” and barely 110 lbs, I was still told I was too “curvy” for fashion and the agencies sent me on swimwear and commercial jobs. I also spent a lot of time as a promo and trade show model. I traveled a lot while modeling, from one coast to another. I even spent a month in Cancun as a Bacardi spokesmodel.

It was fun for a while but I got tired of the constant traveling and was very bored of all the swimwear work. I got into modeling because of the unique hair, make-up, clothes…the crazy editorial fashion shoots. There was nothing very interesting about shooting swimwear. Catalog shoots would be the same hair and make-up and quickly changing in and out of 50 bikinis. So I started bringing things I had made and shooting that on the side. Then I started setting up my own costume shoots. I kept the regular modeling going so I had money to start my costume business. Once the business got going well, I stopped shooting bikinis and started shooting the fun stuff I wanted to do. And the fact that I was shooting it for my own business made it even better.

Victoria: You also have a degree in journalism, correct?

Candy: I have a degree in Magazine Journalism from the University of Florida. It’s amazing how much I use everything I learned. I couldn’t have picked a better major because so much today is communication based, but I should have minored in business. Instead I chose Cultural Anthropology. I had wanted to be an archaeologist ever since seeing Indiana Jones as a kid. Then I spent a semester cataloging pottery shards and found out it was not all about hacking your way through the jungle searching for lost cities of gold. I still love archaeology so I kept it as a minor.

Victoria: You recently created a stunningly sexy version of Harley Quinn. What was the creative process like?

Candy: Thank you! We were going to the Arkham Nights after-party and I wanted to do Harley, but not one that had already been done. I did the Arkham Asylum version previously at DragonCon. I figured there would be a lot of those there. The creative process basically was to go through boxes of costume stuff, pull out everything black and red and then assemble it as a costume. I added a few finishing touches to pull it all together and viola! I also made a matching hammer, which makes a fun prop.

Victoria: What is your favorite convention to attend?

Candy: DragonCon! Nothing else like it. The way it is set-up and the people that attend… it’s the perfect storm of costuming.

Victoria: Can you give us a sneak peak on what youre working on next?

Candy: There are several projects in the works, as usual. I’m re-doing my Rystall costume for CV6 and we’re planning a big cybergoth themed Alice in Wonderland group for DragonCon. It’s a bit of a tradition since my first D*C. We’ve done a wonderland group every year, but change it up a little each time. It’s fun to get a lot of people involved and do a whole group of related characters. So far I have a cool pair of goggles and boots. It’s the middle part I need to work on!

I’m also really excited about our new YouTube channel where we’ve been doing a weekly round-up of stuff going on with Three Muses called MuseWeek http://www.youtube.com/user/ThreeMusesClothing

How to pick the leading physicians of the world

0 komentar

My "real life" self has been selected as a Top Surgeon in my city by the International Association of Healthcare Professionals (IAHCP). I will be spotlighted in the renowned publication “The Leading Physicians of the World.” Can you imagine?

As you can see, my candidacy [which I did not know was even a remote possibility] was approved on June 11.

The letter goes on to state that the IAHCP highlights and profiles the world’s Top Surgeons. The association features physicians who have demonstrated success and leadership in their profession. It even provides an opportunity to network, collaborate, and share information with other medical professionals from around the globe. [Just what I need—another social network of physicians.]

Inclusion in the book “The Leading Physicians of the World” is not only a tribute to my success, but is also a valuable resource for potential patients who are looking for a Top Surgeon in their area.

There is no charge for this honor.

I’m sure the organization did a lot of research before it approved my candidacy. I wonder how they missed that I’ve been retired from the practice of surgery for more than two years?

I thought this was remarkable, but last year New York Times writer Dr. Abigail Zuger easily topped me.

Last year, she wrote that a relative of hers had been named one of the world’s top physicians. All he had to do was to verify his biographical information, and he would be included in the same book and online reference mentioned above.

The good doctor wasn’t able to do so because unfortunately, he died 16 years ago.

What have we learned here?

As I have said on many occasions [e.g., here and here], one must take all ratings with a pinch of salt.

Physician ratings? A truckload of salt.

The Violet Vixen Corset Dress Review

0 komentar

Located in Austin, Texas The Violet Vixen  "provides showgirls, burlesque dancers, fashionistas, steampunkers, goth lovers and aspiring starlets with flavor rich corsets just for fun or daily wear." The website isnt limited to corsets but also sells shoes, waist trainers, clothing for men and more. The Violet Vixen ships throughout the U.S. and Internationally. This review is for their Black Rose Corset Dress. Currently priced at $134.00 the dress is made to order in 12-16 business days. A corset liner for increased comfort can be added for an additional $15. The dress is also available in a brown corset, white and red. A listing for the item to order can be found HERE. After selecting this stunning dress for review, it was time to do something creative with it. After being asked to be a part of a Punk X-Men cosplay group for Dragoncon 2015, I decided to use the Black Rose dress for Punk Rogue. Additions to creating this look include a wig from ebay, gloves from a local party store, fishnets and black boots. For my makeup, I watched the following tutorial on You Tube which can be found HERE.

Photos by Green House Photography

The dress is absolutely gorgeous with first class craftsmanship. This particular design is versatile and can be used for styles in steampunk and goth. The dress can be used for costuming or a night on the town. The possibilities really are quite endless. The Black Rose corset dress from The Violet Vixen gets two thumbs up from the Confessions of a Cosplay Girl Blog.
